It has been proposed that companies be given certificates to show how much tax they have paid.

HMRC are looking at a system of reporting the total direct and indirect tax paid by UK businesses and such information could be published along with a certificate awarded of tax paid.

There is a belief that companies who have made significant contributions by way of taxes may wish to use the prize of a certificate to demonstrate they have done so.

All we can say, is that we doubt many of our clients would want such an accolade and we'll do our best to ensure they achieve last place in the competition!
